I have always seen this small sushi restaurant but have never walked in. From the outside might look closed, but inside has a sushi bar and a few tables. Feels like a nice homey local place. They have a good lunch special menu and im sure everything else has similar flavor. I went with the lunch box and my favorite part was the tempura. Everything else was averagely good and good for the price i thought. The sushi was good and tasted fresh. No complaints.

Definitely the best sushi that I have had locally. I've been coming here for 13 years and they are yet to disappoint, from the freshness of the fish to the compassion the servers share, this place is just all around the best!

Got take out from this place and ordered sushi sashimi which was 2/3$ a piece and their eel roll with cream cheese and avocado. The roll was delicious definitely wished there was more bc this whole order didn't fill me up. Sashimi was awesome too! Satisfied my craving. Nothing disappointed with this order just nothing was amazing prompting me to do 5 stars. I will try again bc I am new to the area and trying to find my go to sushi place.

Even my parents who hate everything commented that the sush was " decent" and trust me, That's an amazing compliment coming from people who criticize even the top rated restaurants Owners have always been very kind and my husband and I always end up going back to marathon sushi We love to try new spots and venture out but this one is just our number sushi go to spots for about a decade Never disappointed 10 stars

One of my go to affordable sushi places; only con is the seating and inside. All their effort is in that food and I'm happy with just that too. Perfect for a nice night in with time to yourself and good wine. Sushi is my go to some me time dinner and this hits the spot but yes you've to pick up the order. No delivery I think.

This place is top 3 in Bergen county. The restaurant is a bit small but the staff is amazing and always give you samples along with your order. Try the dancing eel... thank me later.

Doesn't look like much when you walk past since it looks like half of a storefront, but the food is great considering there isn't a better option within a few blocks of this place. Due to covid, the prices have gone up, but that is the case with a lot of places. My favorites here are the miso soup, California rolls, and chicken teriyaki with the noodles. The miso soup is among the best I've ever had. All in all, good spot for a quick grab-n-go when you are craving sushi.

Checked this place out on a whim since I was craving sushi and was looking for a spot to get some take-out sushi on the way home from work. Staff is very friendly here. Very genuine people working here. I saw plenty of people going in and out and whenever the bill was something-and-change, the owner would just tell the person to pay the dollar amount. No need to do that but just leaves a good taste in your mouth when people are trying to be accommodating and not looking to grab every penny from you. When I told them it was my wife's birthday, the owner without hesitation told the chef to throw in additional sushi pieces. Another point for Marathon Sushi. When they got busy, the owner quickly jumped behind the sushi bar to help speed up the orders. Really shows how good and caring the owner is. The food was fresh and very good. I really loved their charred tuna pieces. Will definitely be ordering from here again next time I'm looking for some takeout sushi and I love supporting small businesses that are doing things the right way.
